Dipl.-Betriebsw. (FH) Rupert Stadler is Chairman of the Board of Management of AUDI AG.

Dipl.-Betriebsw. (FH) Rupert Stadler was born in Titting (Bavaria) on 17 March 1963.

Stadler studied Business Management, majoring in Corporate Planning/Controlling and Finance, Banking and Investment, at Augsburg University of Applied Sciences.

After graduating in Business Management, Stadler started his career at Philips Kommunikation Industrie AG in Nuremberg.

In 1990 Stadler joined AUDI AG, Ingolstadt, where he assumed various controlling tasks in the Sales and Marketing area.

Stadler switched to Volkswagen/Audi España SA, Barcelona, as Commercial Director in 1994. In that capacity, he was responsible for Controllership, Accounts, Human Resources and Organisation.

From 1997 Stadler was Head of the Board of Management's Office for the Volkswagen Group, and, from January 2002, also Head of Group Product Planning.

Rupert Stadler became AUDI AG Board Member with effect from 1 January 2003. Since 1 April 2003 Stadler has been responsible for the Finance and Organisation Division.

Stadler has been Chairman of the Board of Management of AUDI AG since 1 January 2007.
